Pharu Analytics “Coding for Girls”: Empowering girls in Chile and Latin America in technology.

Pharu Analytics, the expert analytics and technology lab, is proud to announce its “Coding for Girls” educational is proud to announce its “Coding for Girls” educational program, designed to inspire and empower to inspire and train Latin American girls between the ages of 12 and 17 in the fundamentals of programming and artificial intelligence fundamentals.

In an increasingly technology-driven world, it is crucial to encourage female participation in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is crucial. Coding for Girls seeks to bridge this gap by offering a free, online course free that, together with professional experts in the field, introduces participants to the fascinating world of STEM and artificial intelligence.

The relevance of STEM education for girls in today’s global context cannot be underestimated. According to the World Economic Forum, it is estimated that 65% of children entering elementary school today will work in roles that do not yet exist, many of which will be in STEM-related areas. Preparing girls from an early age for these future roles is crucial to ensure their full and equal participation in tomorrow’s economy.

Florencia Olmos, Data Analyst and instructor at Coding for Girls, emphasizes this initiative: “Technology has no gender or limits. In Coding For Girls we want to motivate girls to participate and later lead in the STEM world, starting from the basics of programming and artificial intelligence. Every line of code we write is a step towards a future where women are protagonists in the technological revolution”.

The course, delivered through Zoom consists of 8 online classes of 1:15 hrs, focuses on developing coding skills and provides an overview of artificial intelligence. In addition, it will feature leading exponents in the field of artificial intelligence, who will share experiences and motivate girls to explore the exciting world of technology.

Program Objective:
The course seeks to introduce participants to the exciting world of programming and artificial intelligence from intuition. Throughout the program, the girls will acquire a basic understanding of the principles of programming and AI, enabling them to tackle simple problems and projects.

Requirements:
– Be between 12 and 17 years of age.
– Have authorization from a responsible adult.
